  • How do I get the cremated remains returned?

We arrange for the delivery of your beloved one's cremated remains to any U.S. postal address using USPS Priority Mail Express. Please note that delivery to P.O. Boxes is not possible, and a signature is required upon receipt. Alternatively, you have the option to schedule an appointment to personally collect the cremated remains. For shipments outside the State of Montana, an extra fee applies.

  • Can I plan in advance if I choose cremation?

Pre-arranging funeral services is a process that can be completed regardless of the chosen final disposition. Pre-arrangement involves documenting your specific preferences with the funeral home and, if desired, making advance financial arrangements by prefunding the services.

  • What if I need additional death certificates at a later time?

    1. Online Option:     www.vitalchek.com

    2. In Person Option: Your local County Health Department

  • Do you notify Social Security?

We notify Social Security of your loved one's passing. However, you must contact them directly if you are entitled to any benefits.

  • Why does it take so long for a cremation to occur?

While there is typically a specific timeframe for obtaining death certificates, there are instances when a doctor may decline to sign one promptly or take longer than legally mandated. In such cases, a more comprehensive process becomes necessary. We would then engage with the local health department to seek their assistance in securing a doctor's signature on the death certificate. Please be aware that we cannot proceed with a cremation until we have a properly signed death certificate, and it has been approved by the Medical Examiner's Office. Unfortunately, these processes cannot be expedited and must follow the established procedures and timelines.

  • Why can't I go in person to arrange a cremation?

Grizzly Cremation tries to keep the cost of cremation low. By having families arrange online, it allows us to run our operation more efficiently and are able to our keep prices down.

  • Can I see my loved one prior to cremation?

We offer the opportunity to see your loved one prior to the cremation taking place.
